A Day in the Park!

Yesterday my roommates and I had a free day. Guess how we spent it? At Disneyland of course!

Our first ride was the newly refurbished MATTERHORN! I haven't seen it since the updates and I was almost... Disappointed. I don't know if it was a rough day or what, but it seemed very slow. I like FAST!

We then went to ride Indiana Jones which was also recently refurbished. Nothing really new, just needed a fix-up. Almost to the end of the ride and our car stopped! We were informed that the ride was having technical difficulties. The lights came on and a cast member came to take us off through to the end of the ride. This may have ruined the experience for some but as a new cast member, this was an even more exciting ride!

We then had lunch at Hungry Bear, the quick-service restaurant in Critter Country! I got a fried green tomato sandwich a sweet potato fries.. The only ones I like!

We then got to ride Space Mountain - Brittany's first time! It was amazing, as always and at the exit we passed a couple of storm troopers. When I saluted them, the turned with their guns and startled us! Kellyn, Brittany and I all screamed!

About an hour before closing, we headed to DCA, my first time since the upgrades. Buena Vista street was beautiful! I'm glad I saw it for the first time at night! The. We immediately headed to Cars Land. I love the movie Cars, and when I took that first look down the street of Radiator Springs, I was almost in tears! Everyone says it, but.... IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE MOVIE!

Brittany got her first "Cozy Cone", a special drink cup shaped like a cozy come.. So adorable! We got in line for Radiator Springs Racers.. A 75 minute wait on a week night in January! Fortunately, we got on in just under 60 minutes! The ride was amazing!!! Maybe not worth some of the longer wait times (2.5 hours..??) but wow, it was fun!

The park was closing and we went home and changed into comfy clothes!

We had such a fun day, and I look forward to many more like it!
